Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe Niagara CONTEMPORARY CUISINE Difficult to believe that such high-quality, upscale food can be reproduced in a chain format, but be ready to be dazzled by the kitchen here at Wolfgang Puck's Niagara Falls home. Hats off to executive chef Jason Moss. His butternut squash soup with pesto cream is the best I've ever tasted, and there are a lot of versions of this recipe around these days with which to compare; it seems to have taken over from goat cheese and organic baby green as a menu staple. The pumpkin ravioli with hazelnuts and brown butter sause is also superb. Wolfgang's beer-batter crab cakes and chips with tartar sauce and malt vinegar are top-notch. The decor and staff are in tune with the food – smartly turned out, sleek, clean, and chic. If you have kids with you, come early for dinner (5:30pm-ish) and you'll feel more at ease. There's a kids' menu with the usual pizza, pasta, and burgers. Upstairs is Cafe TuTuTango, a funky, casual eatery decked out in bright Mediterranean colors. A good choice for a second lunch or dinner if you've already eaten at Wolfgang Puck's, it's an unexpected but entertaining combination of artist's studio, art gallery, and café
